The Croatian Football Federation will hold the third edition of the "Vlatko Marković" International Youth Tournament in Zagreb, Velika Gorica, and Karlovac. The tournament will be held between May 5 and May 9, 2021.
Group A will consist of the U-15 national teams of Croatia, Bulgaria, Belarus, and North Macedonia, while Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, and Albania will make up Group B.
The tournament was organized with funding from the FIFA Forward Programme, and it is named after one of the most distinguished individuals in the history of Croatian football – former player, Croatia head coach, football official, and honorary HNS president Vlatko Marković, who headed the Croatian Football Federation as president between 1998 and 2012, and who passed away in 2013.
“This tournament gives as an opportunity to remember and honor Vlatko Marković, the huge impact he had on Croatian football, and his unwavering commitment to the development of young players. We’re proud that all of the challenges presented by the current pandemic haven’t stopped us from continuing this tradition and from showing that investing in youth football is a priority for the HNS,” said HNS president Davor Šuker.
All matches at this tournament will be played without spectators.
