UEFA Playmakers is a unique soccer program for girls between the ages of 5 and 8. Training sessions within this program follow the action of Disney hits and give girls the opportunity to embody their favorite characters and learn basic soccer skills.

  • About program

UEFA Playmakers is a pan-European program for the promotion of women's football, which was created in cooperation between UEFA and Disney and which the Croatian Football Federation introduced in Croatia in March 2022. The program is intended for girls between the ages of 5 and 8 and is adapted to those girls who have never played soccer or participated in any sport before, and its main goal is to encourage girls to play soccer and establish a healthy lifestyle through fun, non-competitive training sessions.

Unlike traditional football programs, each of the ten training sessions as part of an individual edition of the UEFA Playmakers program follows the action of Disney's animated hits such as Frozen 2 and Moana. The girls who will participate in the training will have the opportunity to embody popular characters such as Elsa and Anna and the hero from Moana, as well as develop basic soccer skills, the ability to cooperate and their imagination.

In Croatia, the program will take place during 2023 and 2024 in as many as 30 football centers, and a total of four editions of the program will be organized, each of which will consist of ten training sessions. The Playmakers program will continue until 2027, and will be implemented in 48 European UEFA member countries.

The new season of the UEFA Playmakers program will follow the Disney films Frozen 2 (from 15 September to 30 November 2023) and Moana (from 1 March to 30 June 2024).
