League champions Dinamo Zagreb faced Croatian Cup holders Rijeka at the Kantrida Stadium to decide the Croatian Supercup title.
Matjaž Kek's Rijeka team beat Dinamo Zagreb on Friday night to claim another trophy, the first Croatian Supercup in Rijeka's history.
Rijeka took the lead in the 11th minute, when Samardžić headed in Brezovec's free kick. Afterwards, Rijeka failed to convert a couple of opportunities, only for Dinamo to equalize in the 39th minute.
Machado's cross was met by defender Sigali, and another header found its target to make the score 1:1 at the break.
Dinamo's youngster Pjaca hit the woodwork in the opening minutes of the second half, but Rijeka scored the winner in the 70th minute. In a counterattack move, Krstanović found Moises, who put the ball in the net.
Rijeka had the chance to seal the victory a couple of minutes from time, with Dinamo's keeper Eduardo producing an extraordinary save to deny Kramarić from close range.
However, only a few minutes later, Rijeka started to celebrate the Supercup title.
