Dinamo Zagreb and Rijeka are challenging for the Croatian Cup trophy, with Rijeka securing one-goal advantage at the Maksimir Stadium.
Matjaž Kek's Rijeka team won the Croatian Cup final first leg and came a step closer to winning this competition.
Rijeka celebrated a 1:0 win at the Maksimir Stadium, with Ivan Tomečak scoring the only goal of the match in the 40th minute, finding the net after running into the box from the right and aiming at the near post.
The visitors ended the match with nine men. Zlomislić received a straight red card in the 85th minute, and Leovac was shown a second yellow in the added time.
Croatia head coach Niko Kovač and his coaching staff, as well as the Croatian Football Federation president Davor Šuker, were present at Maksimir.
The return leg is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th, at 20:00.
