The Memorial Tournament "Vlatko Marković" is once again one of the strongest in the world this year

This is one of the strongest editions of the tournament, which bears the name of one of the most prominent figures in the modern history of Croatian football – the former player, coach, national team manager, football official, and honorary president of the Croatian Football Federation, Vlatko Marković. He served as the president of the Croatian Football Federation from 1998 to 2012 and passed away on September 23, 2013.

In Group A, Croatia, France, Switzerland, and Romania will play, while in Group B, England, Portugal, Japan, and Greece will compete. The tournament has once again gathered teams from major footballing nations, making this year’s "Vlatko Marković" tournament one of the strongest in the world for this age group.

"I am glad that we have maintained a high level of quality and once again brought major football nations to Croatia, which is proof that this tournament is highly regarded worldwide. This is confirmed by the arrival of distinguished national teams, who, I am sure, will have a lot to offer during the five days of competition. I believe that the Croatian national team, led by coach Sreten Ćuk, will have the opportunity to compete with the best teams in the world. I would also like to thank the leadership of the Croatian Football Federation, led by president Marijan Kustić, for enabling us to organize such a strong tournament, which has been recognized globally for years", emphasized the head instructor of the Croatian Football Federation, Petar Krpan.
