HNS continues its praised project

New hybrid pitch presented at Poljud Stadium in Split

Croatian Football Federation executive director Marijan Kustić, Hajduk board member Ivan Matana and the Rappo contractor representative have formally completed the new hybrid pitch handover process at Poljud Stadium.

Following approximately 40 working days, the hybrid pitch of the newest generation has been laid to Poljud Stadium in Split. The previous pitch was removed, and it took two weeks for the pitch surface to take hold over the base. HNS and Hajduk had previously signed a contract on the hybrid pitch installation, with the City of Split - as the stadium owner - giving its consent.

"I am happy to see this new feature of the Poljud Stadium. It is another proof that infrastructure investments are the crucial principle in our approach to the development of Croatian football. The infrastructure investments at Croatian top-tier clubs in the previous years have been strongly reflected through quality of the Croatian First Division, as this competition keeps getting better, season by season. Croatian Football Federation assists the clubs, and will continue to do so, since the investment in the football base, the foundation of the success of Croatian football, remains our duty. I would like to express my gratitude to Hajduk management - president Lukša Jakobušić and his associates - for the cordiality during the realization of this project. I look forward to the upcoming qualifier against Slovenia at the new pitch, and I believe, in front of many fans in the stands", said executive director Kustić.

HNS has recently announced an international tender to install hybrid pitches in Split, Šibenik, Velika Gorica, and Varaždin, as the next step in the project that started back in 2018. Through HNS, hybrid pitches were then installed in Zagreb (Maksimir, Kranjčevićeva), Pula, Zaprešić, and Koprivnica, in a move that greatly contributed to the quality of the Croatian First Division.
