Croatia national team receives Franjo Bučar State Award

Croatia national football team/Croatian Football Federation, senior head coach Zlatko Dalić, and team captain Luka Modrić have received Franjo Bučar State Award.
This year, the state award for sports, named after the father of Croatian Olympic movement Franjo Bučar, has been awarded to Croatia national team/Croatian Football Federation, senior head coach Zlatko Dalić, and team captain Luka Modrić.
The Vatreni have won silver medal this summer in Russia - the biggest achievement of Croatian football in history, and one of the greatest successes of Croatian sports in general. Head coach Dalić and captain Modrić have also been recognized through many individual awards.

On behalf of Croatian Football Federation and the national team, the award was accepted by Competition and Infrastructure Director Marijan Kustić.
Besides footballers, Miho Bošković, Tin Srbić, Neven Bertičević, Dino Sinovčić, Josip Bilić, Ivo Trumbić, Vjekoslav Šafranić, Boško Božić, and Petra Deša, have also won annual awards, while Milka Babović, Vladimir Janković, and posthumously Mate Parlov have been awarded for lifelong achievements.
