In Varaždin, European Championships U-17 has been closed with an exciting final match.
Spain has won the EURO 2017 in Croatia! The Varaždin final saw England take the lead - twice - but young Spaniards found the necessary answers.
On 18 minutes, Hudson-Odoi took advantage of a deflection to score first, but Morey equalized for Spain shortly before the break. It was Foden on 58 minutes who scored from distance to make it 2:1 to England.
In the last second of the match, deep into added time, Diaz headed in from a corner and the final went into penalties.
Ruiz, Morey, Gomez, and Chust found the net for Spain, Barlow converted for England, but Brewster and Latibeaudiere failed to score. Spain becomes the U-17 record-holder with three European titles.
