Mammadov presents Šuker his UEFA ExCo candidacy

Elkhan Mammadov is among the candidates for the UEFA Executive Committee. If elected, Mammadov would work closely with Croatian Football Federation president Davor Šuker.

"It is great to come to Croatia and meet Davor, my close friend, once again. This is my first visit to the new, beautiful HNS headquarters. I have to say I'm impressed", said Mammadov.

AFFA secretary general has mentioned his cooperation with one other member of the Croatian bronze-winning generation:

"I have spoken with Davor on the future relations of our two federations, on the basis of the previous cooperation. One of the major link was Robert Prosinečki, our senior national team head coach. We are very pleased with his work and his results".

"It was a pleasure to discuss my UEFA ExCo candidacy with Davor. We have dedicated ample time to youth development issues, Azerbaijan can really learn a lot from Croatia, especially regarding youth national teams", concluded Mammadov.

"Elkhan is a man who loves football, who lives football 24 hours a day. He was an excellent host in Azerbaijan and I consider him the right choice for UEFA. In Mammadov, European football has a true football official", added HNS president Davor Šuker.
