Two rounds before the completion of the MAXtv First Division, Dinamo Zagreb secured another league title.
Rijeka and Split's goalless draw in the final match of MAXtv First Division Round secured Dinamo Zagreb 11th consecutive league title. With two matches to spare, Dinamo is six points ahead of the vice-champions from Rijeka.
This is Dinamo Zagreb's 18th Croatian league title. This season, they have achieved the goal with 24 wins, seven draws and three defeats (79 points).
"Congratulations to all Dinamo fans, the entire team and my coaching staff. We are all really happy to win another, incredible 11th title in a row. I have said many times, this was a very difficult season due to many factors. We are all exhausted, but the effort invested paid off. This is a confirmation that we are the best, we deserve the title and are very proud of it", said Dinamo coach Zoran Mamić.
"We are overjoyed and proud. This is what we were working for the entire season, and now the league table shows we are the best. Congratulations to my teammates, coaches, staff and fans who support us. Dinamo recognizes only trophies, and we are proud to win one more", added Dinamo captain Domagoj Antolić.
Dinamo will finish the league season with Slaven Belupo and Lokomotiva encounters.
