HNS supports Aleksander Čeferin for new term

Croatian Football Federation supports current UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin as he will be among the candidates at the next year's elections.
On Tuesday, Slovenian Football Federation and seven other national associations submitted Aleksander Čeferin's candidacy for re-election as the UEFA president. Croatian Football Federation was among the first to support his candidature to remain at the helm of European football.
Čeferin's term is due to expire in February 2019, after his first election in September 2016 - also supported by HNS.
"We truly consider that the achievements, success and progress that UEFA and entire European football family along with their European stakeholders have reached under the leadership of Mr Čeferin are of enormous significance. Therefore, we strongly believe in and we sincerely support Mr Čeferin to continue with his strategy and mission. The Croatian Football Federation shall continue to support and to contribute to the Mr Čeferin’s ideas and ongoing and future projects under his leadership, which are always aimed to the benefit of the European football", HNS president Davor Šuker explained in a letter to UEFA general secretary Theodore Theodoridis.
In December 2016, Čeferin visited Croatia and HNS headquarters as one of the first destinations as the new UEFA president.
