HNS hosts Morocco 2026 delegation

Morocco is bidding for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with its delegation visiting Croatian Football Federation headquarters to present its project.
Croatian Football Federation president Davor Šuker, executive director Damir Vrbanović, and head of international affairs and licensing Ivančica Sudac hosted Morocco 2026 Organizing Committee delegation. Alongside Morocco FIFA World Cup bid, a joint bid was submitted by USA, Mexico, and Canada.

The visiting delegation included Morocco bid ambassadors Nourdine Naybet and Aziz Bouderbala, opredsjednica Organizing Committee vice-president Nawal El Moutawakel and Morocco ambassador in Croatia, Nour El Houda Marrakchi.

The Morocco delegation thanked president Šuker for the hospitality and presented their dream of Morocco 2026, including the details of government support. Moreover, Šuker and Naybet reflected upon their clashes in Spanish league, when the Moroccan defender played for Deportivo, and Šuker for Real Madrid. President Šuker handed over HNS gifts, as well as the national team jersey.

The decision on the 2026 FIFA World Cup host will be made at the FIFA Congress on 13 June in Moscow.
