For the first time, Croatian Football Federation will enable blind and visually impaired supporters to follow the national team match through audio description. This represents another step towards total inclusion in football - the objective of UEFA #EqualGame campaign.
Croatian Football Federation is proud to have 15 blind and visually impaired supporters, alongside other supporters with disabilities, at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb during the Greece encounter in FIFA World Cup play-offs. In partnership with Zagreb Association of Blind Persons, Croatian Football Federation will provide tickets, audio devices and two narrators to describe all visual details from the stadium to the blind and visually impaired.
The disabled in wheelchairs are traditional HNS guest, and HNS has also provided tickets for 15 deaf persons and their companions.
UEFA and HNS strongly support the idea that everybody should be able to enjoy football, regardless of who you are, where you are from or how skillful you are.
All UEFA social responsibility activities are developed within project "Respect". Following the "No Racism" campaign, this autumn UEFA has launched a new #EqualGame campaign, with the objective of promoting inclusion, difference, and football accessibility in Europe.
Including the disabled in the world of football is one of HNS objectives, with audio description for the blind and visually impaired during the Croatia - Greece clash being an important step in that direction.
Therefore, we truly welcome ALL Croatia supporters to Maksimir Stadium!
