The UEFA Executive Committee today met in Budapest ahead of the 40th Ordinary UEFA Congress taking place on Tuesday.

The UEFA Executive Committee received a positive update on the successful preparations for UEFA EURO 2016 and expressed its confidence in the measures put in place to stage a safe and festive tournament for all involved.

The UEFA Executive Committee took several other decisions, notably:

- The UEFA Club Financial Control Body members were re-elected for the period 2016-2020.

- The mandates of the refereeing officers Pierluigi Collina, Marc Batta and Hugh Dallas were renewed for a further four years until the summer of 2020.

- It was agreed to allow the testing of a fourth substitution in extra time at the final tournaments of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2016 (Germany) and 2017 (Georgia), the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship in 2016 (Slovakia) and 2017 (Northern Ireland) and at the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (Poland).

- The UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations 2016 were approved with amendments made to reflect the latest changes in the WADA code.

- The UEFA Disciplinary Regulations 2016 were also approved.

- The regulations of the UEFA European Football Championship 2014–16 were amended, to reflect the recent decision to use goal-line technology at the final tournament.

Finally, the following competition regulations for the 2016/17 season were approved:

- UEFA European Under-17 Championship
- UEFA European Under-19 Championship
- UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship
- UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship
- UEFA European Futsal Championship
